From time to time, The Ladah Foundation will initiate special projects to raise funds for specific
charitable causes and for specific groups of recipients in different regions of the
world. To date, The Ladah Foundation has launched the following projects to raise
funds for charitable purposes:
"Quicksand,
Oil and Dreams" Fund Raising Project
This project was initiated in September 2001. "Quicksand, Oil and Dreams," a book by Michael S. Ladah, is the
story of one of five million Palestinian refugees, the author's personal account of the
Palestinian dispossession. It is a collection of his experiences during the exodus from
Palestine (Jafa), as a refugee in the West Bank (Ramallah), in the United States as a
student and in Saudi Arabia as part of the US and Saudi oil industries. It relates the
author's experiences to the political and social events of the time, placing the stories
in a historical context. The book is narrated as a story and is easy to read. Visit the
book's Web site to get a sense for the broad range of social issues that it addresses.
"Quicksand, Oil and Dreams" retails for $29.95, and
is distributed as part of an effort to raise funds for charity. All proceeds from the book
are being donated to The Ladah Foundation, and will be distributed to Palestinian students
in the form of scholarships at Palestinian universities and to Palestinian charities. The
book will be available only through the author in one of two ways:
You may make a donation
($29.95 or more) to The Ladah Foundation and receive a
free copy of the book, courtesy of the author. Make your donation payable to The Ladah
Foundation and mail it to The Ladah Foundation, 8807 Big Bluff Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89148.
You will receive an official receipt for your tax-deductible
donation. You may also donate by wire transfer (Click

You may order a copy of the book for $29.95 plus shipping

Via
Dolorosa Relief Project
In April 2001, the Ladah Foundation launched the Via Dolorosa
Relief Project, the first of its special relief projects, to raise funds for and on behalf
of Palestinians of the Holy Land . These are the Palestinians whose existence has
been threatened by the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and who have been emigrating out of
the Holy Land at an unprecedented rate. All Palestinians of the Holy Land have suffered
the consequences of the social and political upheaval caused by the Israeli occupation of
the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
Schools, hospitals, and orphanages receive scant assistance, if
any, from the Palestinian Authority for lack of funds. Many Palestinian schools and
orphanages demolished by unintended Israeli military bombardment, such as
those demolished in Beit Jala, el-Bireh, and Ramallah, Jenin, Nablus and most other
Palestinian towns have not been reopened, solely due to lack of funds. The only support
that many schools and orphanages receive is from charitable organizations, and from
donations made by caring individuals.
To contribute to the Via Dolorosa Relief Project, please write
a check payable to The Ladah Foundation - Via Dolorosa, and mail your donation to the
Foundation at 8807 Big Bluff Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89148. Please include your name and full
mailing address. Donors to the Via Dolorosa Relief Project will receive a free copy of
"Quicksand, Oil and Dreams."
The Ladah Foundation is a charitable organization exempt from tax under
